For this vibrant McDonald’s spot, I was brought on board by Rio de Post to craft frame-by-frame animations. Working closely with a team of 3D animators, I created hand-drawn animation layered directly onto video footage. This hybrid approach called for extensive experimentation to develop a visual style that felt playful and handcrafted — while blending seamlessly with the video. We explored various techniques to strike the right balance between visual quality and production efficiency. The result is a lively, energetic animation style that adds a hand-drawn charm to polished, dynamic footage — a true team effort and an example of creative problem-solving.
